Responsibilities

The Production Scheduler / Planner shall be responsible for generating the production schedule and strategically planning the material requirements to meet the production schedule for the department(s) assigned in order to ensure a smooth flow of materials and product to meet customer needs. The Production Scheduler / Planner shall be responsible for preparing, maintaining and distributing production schedules. The Production Scheduler / Planner shall be responsible for reporting daily production into the system to ensure accurate inventory of finished goods.

$31-$33 hourly- Paid weekly

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Work daily with Master Production Scheduler and Sales & Operations Planning Department to develop, publish and communicate production schedule to supervisors in order to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Development and maintenance of an accurate and effective Work Measurement System; Ensures effective productivity measurements are established for identified functions in plant to fulfill orders from manufacture to shipment to customer.
  • Work daily with corporate Production Scheduler to develop, publish and communicate production schedule to supervisors in order to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Responsible for accurate and thorough inventory management and records. Has primary responsibility for preparation of month end reconciliation reports and adjustments.
  • Ensures forward capacity issues are communicated and addressed with preventive actions.

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • College degree preferred
  • 2-3 years total business experience: Scheduling, Purchasing, or Supply Chain preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • High level of professionalism required
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), experience with an ERP/MRP system preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Good attendance and punctuality required
