Lift Truck Operator Specialist | St. Charles, IL

 

Available Shift:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:00am - 3:00pm

 

Compensation Includes:

The purpose of a Lift Truck Specialist is to facilitate all handling and storage for the facility. You will also oversee all incoming and outgoing freight. The operator will operate industrial trucks to load/unload materials. The operator will also conduct cycle counts, data entry, and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Address daily inventory requirements
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing freight
  • Validating of BOL and other documentation in accordance with outbounds/inbounds
  • Inspections of received goods for damage or discrepancies for immediate reporting
  • Systematically entering outbounds/inbounds accurately in SAP systems PTP/PLE
  • Properly fill out/print dock appointment log, bill of lading, trailer inspection sheet, tally sheet, customs document
  • Loads trucks per picking list
  • Knows how to cancel and pick orders
  • Unloads inbound trucks to staging area, then place in proper warehouse bin locations
  • Complete cycle counts as assigned and communicate results
  • Support SAP functions as related to inventory and load management (Pick list, RF)
  • Uphold the warehouse standards by maintaining items in their designated areas, including, but not limited to trash, pallets, forklift trucks, pallet jacks, boxes and finished goods
  • Properly band/strap pallets to send to other facilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Shipping/Receiving internal and external Dock areas and Warehouse work areas
  • Communicate with vendors, drivers, suppliers and/or contractors with attention to their safety, building security and customer service
  • Complete combined finished good splits
  • Maintain accurate records and files for audit reviews
  • Effectively and efficiently work with Lead and Manager to resolve shipping/receiving or warehouse issues
  • Utilize other material moving devices including carts and pallet jacks, as well as self-propelled equipment such as floor scrubbers

Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous material handling experience to include trailer loading/unloading
  • Ability to stand/walk constantly, sit/stoop occasionally, kneel/bend constantly, lift 7-39.9 lbs, push/pull 50+ lbs, bend/twist constantly and climb/ladders occasionally
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word, SAP and RF scanners required
  • Effective verbal and written communication, proficient math and organizational skills
  • Forklift certification is required
  • LOTO training for authorized and designated personnel will be required
  • Interior temperatures range from 60F-98F degrees, with occassional requirement to work outdoors
