Material WGLs | HIRING IMMEDIATELY | Greenville, SC

 

Compensation: Competitive starting pay range $23.53 - $27.41 BASED ON EXPERIENCE

 

Shift Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM (Days)

Responsibilities

Role:

Responsible for receiving and unloading of all inbound shipments of miscellaneous parts and supplies, logging and deliver to designated person in each department.  Prepares shipments via UPS, Federal Express and common carrier with proper packing lists attached.  Maintains carton storage and staging areas.  Delivers cartons and bags to production staging area.  Provides carton and bag counts as needed.

 

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Unload all inbound shipments – boxes, bags, miscellaneous parts and supplies after checking loaded trailer wheels for chocks.
  • Verify all plant packaging lists by counting items received, stamp packing list received, date, sign and enter into SAP.
  • Deliver to designated person/area in each department before 4:00 p.m. each day. Air freight or emergency shipments delivered promptly and forward all packing lists to purchasing.
  • Place cartons/bags in proper location in the warehouse and stock carton staging area as needed.
  • Maintain carton storage area
  • Perform periodic cycle counts of cartons and bags as requested.
  • Prepare shipments via UPS, Federal Express and common carrier with proper packing lists attached.
  • Key role in “return to vendor” process of all parts and production supplies.
  • Strap scrap cardboard as time allows.
  • Must be flexible and team oriented, which includes performing other activities as determined and assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
  • Responsible for physical inventories. Insures Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analyst and responsible for tracking down inaccuracies.  Makes production supply inventory adjustments in SAP.
  • Other duties as necessary

Operate Equipment:

  • Ability to operate motorized equipment and/or blending equipment and peripherals.
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as required.

Inventory Control/Management:

  • Can demonstrate ability to accurately count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled, using daily production sheet or work ticket.
  • Can demonstrate ability to control or tend conveyor systems that move materials to/from departments.
  • Can demonstrate proper techniques used to arrange materials/items in specified sequence for assembly and/or distribution

  • Demonstrates ability to safety load and unload materials to/from designated storage areas such as racks and shelves, or vehicles such as trucks.
  • Demonstrates ability to set up and inspect equipment, and make simple adjustments.
  • Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems.

Organization:

  • Demonstrates ability to be a self starter and work independently to complete assignments/responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize workload as required.

Problem Solving:

  • Ability to think openly and be a good listener to decipher information and come to resolution.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Forklift certification
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately control inventory throughout the entire process
  • Must understand Warehouse Management System and processes.

ADA – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to:

  • Able to work 12 hour shifts, standing and walking for extended periods
  • Climb approved ladders and moveable steps
  • Heed safety warnings, devices and alarms
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Frequently lifts, carries, pushes or pull objects up to 50 lbs with occasional lifts up to 65 lbs. All lifts over 65 lbs require 2 person lift or mechanical assistance.
  • Possess adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment.
