Starting Pay Rate/Range: $18.00 - $24.00

Shift: B (12 hour day shift)

Position Overview:

The person in the position of Extrusion Grinder is responsible for operating the reclaim grinder and ensuring all safety standards are met. This role includes maintaining a clean work environment, handling scrap material, and contributing to a safe and productive team culture. Foams Extrusion Grinders are also expected to train new employees and actively support plant food safety and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Machine Operation:

• Operate product grinding machines.
• Safely unload the unwind stand.

Quality & Safety:

• Support plant food safety management programs, initiatives, and objectives.
• Requires certification in lock out/tag out.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor.

Housekeeping & 6S Compliance:

• Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the shift.
• Clean the grinder pit.
• Follow 6S principles for workplace organization and cleanliness.

Team Support & Training:

• Be flexible and support teammates as needed.
• Ask questions and actively engage in learning.
• Mentor and train new employees.
• Accept and apply feedback for personal and team development.

Qualifications:

• Factory environment; exposure to noise and industrial machinery. Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, and move consistently throughout the day.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Required to wear PPE and follow all safety procedures.
