Responsibilities

Join Novolex as a Plant Manufacturing Logistics Continuous Improvement Manager and play a pivotal role in transforming our manufacturing logistics operations. In this role, this position will lead Continuous Improvement initiatives within the logistical operations of the plant and liaison with the Plant Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Manager to ensure collaboration and connectivity across the entire plant operation.

Salary $125-135,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce waste, and improve safety, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with plant based continuous improvement, engineering, maintenance, and operations resources to ensure logistical applications and processes are considered in plant based continuous improvement initiatives and vice versa.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for CI projects.
  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Facilitate lean manufacturing activities such as Kaizen events, 5S, and value stream mapping.
  • Provide training and coaching on lean tools and methodologies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in logistics technology, warehouse management systems, automation, and process control.
  • Deliver progress reports and presentations to manufacturing logistics and corporate leadership.
  • Ensure standard work practices are documented and sustained across all shifts.
  • Champion the Novolex Operational Excellence Program (OPX360) and assist the local Supply Chain Manager as necessary.
  • Support logistics CI initiatives across multiple plant manufacturing sites as needed
  • Travel up to 50%

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Business, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Packaging Industry related field.
  • 3+ years of lean experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Lean and/or Project Management certification (preferred).

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in high-volume or automated settings.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with JDA WMS and a Labor Management System background is also preferred with MES, automation technologies, and SAP (a plus).
  • Proven success leading Kaizen events and implementing lean tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
