Compensation:

  • Competitive starting pay rate $19.72-$22.39

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of a Grinder/Repel Operator 

 

  • Separates and grinds scrap material into the designated scrap bins. 
  • Operate all aspects of a repel line, including start-up, shut down, changing filters & screens, clearing jams, etc. 
  • Checks grinding machine dust collector daily and empties as needed 
  • Keeps Grinding Room clean and organized for next shift. 
  • Identifies and differentiates various materials used throughout the plant. 
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist Extrusion operators. 
  • Complete necessary paperwork. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to perform basic to intermediate math. (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) 
  • Experience: 6 to 9 months related experience/training; experience preferred, not required.  

Skills:

  • Mechanical aptitude; detail oriented; ability to meet project deadlines.

Physical Demand:

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing, when required, such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat/bump cap, hair/beard net and gloves
  • Ability to stand, walk, twist, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, bend throughout the duration of the scheduled shift
  • Prolonged standing while performing the duties of the job
  • Job requires high level of manual dexterity with repetitive use of hands, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles
