Summary: 

This position is responsible for all resin handling and assiting Extrusion Operators in maintaining the extrusion machines. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

• Maintains, operates, and responsible for unloading and handling of resin raw materials and blending, conditioning, mixing and utilization of resin materials in the Una-Dyn room. 
• Assists in extruding thermoplastic materials
• Tapes ends of extruded article to reel spindle and starts machine that winds material onto revolving spindle
• Measures extruded article with measuring wheel and cuts it to specified length, using a knife
• Removes roll from spindle with a forklift and weighs roll on scales
• Accurately records length and weight of roll-on shipping tag
• Saws scrap tubes and rods into lengths for grinding in hammer mill
• Mix thermoplastic materials, according to formula, for feeding extrusion machine
• Mousekeeping daily
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably in plastic industry
• Ability to work with little supervision
