GN Operator|Temple, TX|Hiring Immediately

Starting Pay Rate/Range: $17.00 - $22.00

Shift: 2nd 3:30pm - Midnight, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

The GN Machine Operator/Packer is responsible for operating the GN machine, packaging products at standard speeds, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role includes maintaining a clean work environment, handling scrap material, and contributing to a safe and productive team culture. Operators are also expected to train new employees and actively support plant food safety and quality objectives.

Production & Machine Operation:

• Operate the GN machine at standard speed with appropriate staffing.
• Package finished goods according to specifications and production targets.
• Perform product attribute tests and complete hour-by-hour quality documentation.
• Monitor product counts and inspect for defects.
• Make minor machine adjustments to ensure uninterrupted production and product quality.

Quality & Safety:

• Support plant food safety management programs, initiatives, and objectives.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Immediately report any quality or safety issues to the supervisor.

Housekeeping & 5S Compliance:

• Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the shift.
• Follow 5S principles for workplace organization and cleanliness.

Reclaim Handling:

• Remove scrap from the line and process it through the correct grinder.

Team Support & Training:

• Be flexible and support teammates as needed.
• Ask questions and actively engage in learning.
• Mentor and train new employees.
• Accept and apply feedback for personal and team development.

Qualifications:

• Factory environment; exposure to noise and industrial machinery.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and move consistently throughout the day.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Required to wear PPE and follow all safety procedures.
