Summary: The following items are specific requirements, assignments and tasks expected to be understood and performed within the position of Auditor Quality. Company-wide standards, practices and policies that are required by all employees are in addition to the duties given in this job description.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Ensure Compliance to applicable Food Packaging Standard(s).
· Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
· Adhere to safety rules and procedures.
· Following departmental rules and regulations including, but not limited to, QC telephones, two way radios, quality equipment and security of the QC lab.
· Retrieve and review the Product Specification Sheet for each run.
· Awareness and adherence to the visual attributes of product as described in the Critical to quality S.O.P.
· Evaluate and assign specific part specifications.
· Perform in process inspection and data entry into the data collection system.
· Understanding control charts.
· Use of measuring instruments.
· Identifying nonconforming product then communicating problems to production.
· Obtain disposition for held/nonconforming product.
· Thorough and consistent communication between QC inspectors on other shifts,
· Inspecting, approving and documenting 1st piece parts upon startup after changeovers.
· Completing and maintaining accurate QC paperwork.
· Ensure box labels are accurate.
· Follow up on previous quality problems to prevent re-occurrence.
· Awareness of past customer complaints.
· Make sure the correct raw material is being used as specified on the Product Specification Sheet and document changes.
· Takes direction from Unit Manager
· Assists the Unit Manager
· Perform other duties as assigned, including Rail unloading and regrind.
· Samples and testing of incoming materials
