83 miles east of San Francisco, Stockton is a city on the San Joaquin River, in California’s Central Valley. The Haggin Museum features fine art and local history displays. Oak Grove Regional Park has trails, a nature center and a lake stocked with catfish. The plant was built in 1981, manufactures paper cups, lids and folding food containers, and has approximately 400 employees.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,000 - $118,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is dermined by job related skills, experience and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Job Duties:
· Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
· Typically supervises 40 plus employees
· Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
· Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
· Planning, assigning & directing work
· Appraising performance
· Rewarding & disciplining employees
· Addressing complaints & resolving problems
· Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
· Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
· Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary
Job Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
· 2+ years of manufacturing experience
· Supervisory experience preferred
· Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to work well in group situations
· Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner
· Good computer skills
· SAP experience preferred
