64 miles south of Montreal, Canada, and just west of Lake Champlain, Plattsburgh is a city in and the seat of Clinton County, New York. The population was 19,989 at the 2010 census. Job purpose
The Production Manager is responsible for managing and leading Production Supervisors to achieve essential Key Process Indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity and cost.
Duties and responsibilities
The primary job duties and responsibilities are:
· Schedule, track, & monitor production and costs to ensure unit meets established goals while maintaining a safe work environment and quality standards.
· Ensures leaders are driving Pactiv Evergreen initiatives.
· Drives and supports Pactiv Evergreen’s Production System.
· Supports safety improvement through behavioral and hazard recognition.
· Ensures the production of quality products that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
· Develops and improve quality systems that drives continuous improvement.
· Drives continuous improvement utilizing Pactiv Evergreen Production System to drive Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
· Achieves pounds per man hour targets through overall labor management.
· Manages and develop Production Supervisors to achieve Production goals and objectives.
· Demonstrates a strategic approach to labor cost management.
· Drives cost improvement through overall volume achievement.
· Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
· Maintains excellent safety record.
· Maintains excellent attendance record.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
Experience required:
· At least three (3) years of experience managing and leading at least four (4) direct reports in a manufacturing environment or relevant experience.
· At least three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities requiring control of a mechanical process and inspection of product to meet quality standards.
· Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
