Compensation:

  • Pay rate of $21.32 - 26.13/hour

Overview

 

Provide quality-related technical assistance to Manufacturing and Engineering in the investigation and solution of routine/semi-complex problems in plant operations which affect process stability and/or product control.  Support safety improvement programs based on the plant needs and updated safety data. Inspect equipment and working conditions to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide statistical/trend analysis of data collected for quality related purposes
  • Perform quality audits across shifts
  • Provide necessary quality support to Short Term Project Teams and process capability studies as directed
  • Perform maintenance/calibration of laboratory test equipment and maintain historical records
  • Requires use of calibration standards and mechanical aptitude with precision hand tools for adjustment and repair
  • Maintain plant quality specifications and procedure systems
  • Support GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Maintenance Plant and division in the production department
  • Develop and promote behavior on safety initiative through the plant

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-5 years process/troubleshooting experience or two years of college
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with all levels/areas of the facility
  • Must be familiar with software programs such as:
    • QA/S, MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
    • SAP
    • Lotus Notes
  • Lab experience/testing knowledge desired
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Cannot have more than 5 attendance points or no Step 2 corrective actions within 6 months
