The Corsicana Manufacturing Plant is the proud recipient of the 2019 Environmental Impact award! The plant was built in 1987 and manufactures cups, lids, to-go containers and breakfast trays used in households and restaurants all over the US. We currently have approximately 500 full time employees and we are growing!

Responsibilities

As a Senior Process Engineer, your role is to oversee the completion of all major and minor changeovers and to ensure completion of all process conditions sheets after all changeovers prior to production.

 

Safety

  • Maintain awareness of all safety policies and procedures for the job.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
  • Remain aware of surroundings and ensure knowledge of all required PPE for the job.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Report any safety concerns, risks, hazards, near misses, or injuries immediately to supervision.
  • Ensure each task is performed safely and report suggestions for improvement to management.

 

Quality

  • Follow all guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Validate we are using correct packaging and labels.
  • Report any concerns regarding equipment or building failures that may lead to product quality defects.
  • Support timely resolution of any building or equipment failures.

 

Productivity

  • Support all aspects of the PP, MFPP, & Foam Extrusion and Thermoforming Manufacturing Technology in Corsicana with a goal of improving performance and profitability.
  • Oversee the completion of all major and minor changeovers all PP and MFPP extrusion and thermoforming lines.
  • Ensure completion of all process conditions sheets after all changeovers prior to production.
  • Make sure we are running product within required quality specifications
  • Set blending equipment to proper conditions for production runs.
  • Adjust conditions on rimming equipment on thermoforming lines.
  • Troubleshoot process issues as needed during operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and train operators on proper setup of equipment during startup.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete basic tooling and automation repairs.
  • Assist with product improvement trials and documentation as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement Kaizen events.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering preferred
  • 8+ years Plastics Process experience ideal
  • Thermoforming and extrusion manufacturing process experience required
  • Ability to work independently as well as working with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
  • Solid communications skills, both written and verbal, required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed
  • Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours due to the nature of the work
  • Must be able to wear the required PPE to enter the plant/complete the tasks such as safety glasses and gloves, hearing protection, and proper footwear
  • We expect regular and timely attendance to avoid disruption to the team and the line.
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing environments, including varying temperatures and noise levels.
