Located 35 south west of Chicago, Frankfort is a village in Will County, Illinois, with a small portion in Cook County. The population was 17,782 at the 2010 census, up from 10,391 in 2000. According to Forbes.com, in 2007 the village ranked as the 36th fastest growing suburb in the United States.

 

The plant was built in 1965, manufactures food service and food packaging products (custom and stock foam), and has approximately 300 employees.

For individuals hired to work in Illinois, Pactiv Evergreen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The compensation range is specific to Illinois and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is Minimum: $83,100.00/yr. - Maximum $139,000.00/yr. 

 

This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, 401(k) plan with no waiting period and dollar for dollar match up to 6% and immediate vesting, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, paid time off, paid parental leave, up to nine paid Holidays and two floating Holidays, wellness program, tuition reimbursement and family care benefits.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluates production and thermoforming processes to initiate corrective action to meet current plant goals.
  • Troubleshoots complex/critical processes or equipment and provides technical leadership and training to resolve those issues.
  • Projects and assignments are non-routine and require initiative and judgment. Develops process methods and controls to meet quality standards.
  • Recommends and implements improvements, modifications or additions that will meet or exceed business goals.
  • Reviews product specifications with product development to determine compatibility of processing methods and to determine costs and execute the plan.
  • Trains operations personnel on process related issues.
  • Effectively communicates with supervisors and operators on procedures or corrective actions on processes.
  • Effectively interacts and works with all levels of Plant personnel and value stream management.
  • Lead medium to large capital projects within the foams department.
  • Troubleshoots complex/critical processes or equipment and provides technical leadership and training to resolve those issues.
  • Projects and assignments are non-routine and require initiative and judgment.
  • Develops process methods and controls to meet quality standards.
  • Recommends and implements improvements, modifications or additions that will meet or exceed business goals.
  • Reviews product specifications with product development to determine compatibility of processing methods and to determine costs and execute the plan.
  • Trains operations personnel on process related issues.
  • Will lead medium to large capital projects.
  • Effectively lead and direct the work of others
  • Support plant food product safety management programs, initiatives and objectives.
  • Development of production process in order to minimize efficiency, minimizes waste and cost, and improves output.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes, and equipment to achieve the production goals of the organization.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
