This position supports the meat tray operations. This level of operator is responsible for operates Extrusion/Thermoforming machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization. This includes Trouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.

• Operates Extruders and Reclaim Grinders
• Grinds Scrap
• Records and Monitors levels of Fluff and Pellet Silos
• Monitors Extruder temperatures and pressures gauges
• Maintains accurate account of Poundage produced
• Performs Quality Control for Extrusion Department
• Communicates pertinent information at shift change
• Keep the work area clean of debris
• Operate plastic extrusion machine at a rate that equals or exceeds quality and production standards
• Troubleshoot routine process problems, and assist with tooling and product changeovers
• Maintain adequate supplies for all line equipment to ensure continual operation
• Complete required quality checks and production reports in an efficient and timely manner
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices
• Maintain work area in an organized, safe and clean manner
• Provide relief to other members of team as necessary
• Able to perform Packer functions

• High School diploma or GED equivalence
• Willingness to work Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays as Required
• 2+ years of extrusion experience
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the plastics industry
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential
• Ability to work independently as well as working with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
• Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Adhere to Pactiv’s Lockout and Tagout Procedure
• Ability to leverage Rollstock - approximately 400 lbs
