Shift: 2nd 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Pay: $27.28 to $29.05 an hour with a $1.00 *shift differential

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position reports to the Lead Mechanic.  The position is responsible to check, clean, maintain and repair tooling materials in accordance with company standards.

The essential duties shall be as follows:

• Clean tooling and determine if repairs are needed.
• Make necessary repairs on tooling.
• Must follow a detailed schedule.
• Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand tools.
• Must be able to train people.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
• Support plant product food safety management programs, initiatives, and objectives.

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent education

1 year maintenance experience and manufacturing practices.

Experience working with hand tools, forklift, micrometer, dial indicators and other close tolerance devices

Forklift Operator experience. 

Ability to use measuring devices.Highly organized, problem solver, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and strong sense of urgency.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to possess manual dexterity, to lift 30-50 pounds as needed and able to work from platforms and ladders.  The job also involves physical activity such as walking, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.  Various hand tools used.

The plant was built in 1960's, Warehouse and Office areas added in 1988, and has approximately 150 employees.
