Responsibilities

The Technical Operations Analyst performs the following job functions (but not limited to):

 

  • Manage & maintain company-owned IT infrastructure; keep existing systems healthy, replace broken/obsolete equipment.
  • Manage IT related projects from pre-implementation planning to delivery; develop SOWs and manage project budget, process, communications, and contributors for successful and timely delivery.
  • Manage vendors and contractors to ensure proper execution of operational, SOW and EHS requirements.
  • Liaison between end-users and technical experts at all levels; ensure application and technical solutions meet the needs of the business.
  • Identify and analyze performance anomalies; facilitate improvements in efficiency and/or throughput to improve solutions for business operations.
  • Create, analyze, update, and maintain knowledge & knowledgebase of IT infrastructure.
  • Identify, implement, manage, track and execute continuous improvement opportunities and activities.
  • Govern and track adherence to established IT security policies; direct/coach end-users on policies & best practices
  • Provide operational end-user support for IT issues related to network access, active directory, file and print services, and end user computing systems; follow effort through to root cause analysis.
  • Provide production support during work hours and after-hours as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
  • Ability to travel (up to 60%) 
  • Must be able to stand, kneel or sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Troubleshooting experience and technical knowledge of end user devices including laptops, desktops, printers, mobile phones and other network connected devices.
  • Experience with network connected devices including handheld/vehicle mounted devices, PLCs, IoT or other IP based equipment.
  • Experience configuring and installing wired and wireless networks, including cabling, wireless surveys, network equipment, etc.
  • Experience with core software applications; Microsoft Office, O365, SharePoint, Teams, SCCM, and Citrix. 
  • Experience with ITSM Tools such as Service Now, Remedy, etc.
  • Experience in overseeing the design and implementation of PC hardware, software, and related products.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Experience with server configuration and hardware.
