$31.20 + Paid Weekly

Located 30 miles north of Charlotte, Mooresville is a large town located in south western section of Iredell County, North Carolina, and is a part of the fast-growing Charlotte Metro area. The population was 32,711 at the 2010 United States Census.
The plant was built in 1966, manufactures cups, lids, and trays, and has approximately 600 employees. This plant was also awarded the Safety Plant of the Year and Food Service Manufacturer of the Year Award.
Responsibilities:
Safety
· Maintain awareness of all safety policies and procedures for the job.
· Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
· Remain aware of surroundings and ensure knowledge of all required PPE for the job.
· Keep work area clean and organized.
· Report any safety concerns, risks, hazards, near misses, or injuries immediately to supervision.
· Ensure each task is performed safely and report suggestions for improvement to management.
Quality
· Follow all guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
· Report any concerns regarding equipment or building failures that may lead to product quality defects.
· Support timely resolution of any building or equipment failures.
Productivity
· Change over process conditions on inline thermoforming extrusion lines prior to production.
· Set blending equipment to proper conditions for production runs.
· Adjust conditions on rimming equipment on thermoforming lines.
· Troubleshoot process issues as needed during operations.
· Coach and mentor operators on proper setup of equipment during startup.
· Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
· Complete basic tooling and automation repairs.
· Ensure housekeeping in the area(s) of responsibility is safe, clean, and tidy.
· Assist with product improvement trials and documentation as needed.
· Be available to work overtime based on business needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
· HS Diploma or equivalency preferred.
· 5+ years of process technician experience within the thermoforming industry.
· Completion of Level 4 operator training or equivalent experience.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
· Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
· Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements
· Most routine tasks are performed while standing or walking.
· Frequent reaching, handling, and fine motor skills are required.
· Frequent walking may be required over distances exceeding 500 feet.
· Lifting up to 40 pounds is required.
· Exposure to typical manufacturing environments, including varying temperatures and noise levels.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
· Safety glasses and gloves, hearing protection, and proper footwear are required.
