Located 30 miles north of Charlotte, Mooresville is a large town located in south western section of Iredell County, North Carolina, and is a part of the fast-growing Charlotte Metro area. The population was 54,810 at the 2024 United States Census.

 

The plant was built in 1996, manufactures cups, lids and trays, and has approximately 700 employees. This plant was also awarded the Safety Plant of the Year and Food Service Manufacturer of the Year Award.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

This position covers the day shift (6:30 am - 6:30pm) and has a 2 day on / 2 day off schedule as well as every other weekend on. 

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

 

Job Duties:

  • Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
  • Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, coaching & training employees
  • Planning, assigning & directing work
  • Complete performance appraisals
  • Engage and reward employees 
  • Addressing complaints & resolving problems
  • Ensure and enter production data which is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
  • Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
  • Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively
  • Daily time and attendance completion
  • Communicates regularly with leads and manager per escalation plan requirements

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
  • Manufacturing and supervisory experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal & interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well in group situations
  • Proven ability to de-escalate situations as needed
  • Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature & consistent manner
  • Excel and SAP experience preferred
